In China, you can find all kinds of sport equipments in different types of stores ranging from big shopping malls to small exclusive shop. The most popular sport brands in China are Nike, Adidas, Puma, Decathlon and the domestic brand Warrior. These brands are all developing very well in China

Decathlon Group

Decathlon Group is the largest chain sports equipment retailers in France. It was founded in 1976. Now in mainland China and Taiwan, there are over 300 Decathlon stores. The distinguishing feature of this French brand is that it has abundant private brands under 12 different names categorized by different sport types. Its major competitor is Adidas. Since 1992 Decathlon has set up produce branches in Shanghai, Tianjin, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Xiamen and Taiwan. The first Decathlon sport wear supermarket was open in Pudong, Shanghai. Until 2011, there are already 39 Decathlon in China.

Le Coq Sportif from France

Le Coq Sportif is a French company producing sports equipment such as shoes, shorts and T-shirts. It was founded in 1882, but the first clothing items branded with rooster appeared in 1948.

Warrior: Made in China

Warrior is a domestic sport shoe brand in China. It was founded in 1927. Warrior basketball shoes are supposed to be the most sold sport shoes in the world. Because it is the oldest brand sport brand in China, lots of famous athletes were wearing it in their childhood. The most common one is the WB-1 of Warrior. Because of the low price and the good quality of it, it attracts not only Chinese but also foreigners. Recently, in Europe, especially in France, Warrior is very popular and becomes a symbol of fashion. It was sold in Paris for 50 Euros once and became the heading of ELLE, a major fashion magazine in France. It is sold online and in physical stores in China and also in oversea countries such as France.

Aigle: bought by Li Ning in China

It is to notice that the French brand was bought by Li Ning (the Chinese Nike).
